At only seven and a half years old, Cody raised two thousand and five hundred dollars
in support of Brenna and the Heart and Stroke Foundation where he was awarded a plaque for
Extraordinary and Outstanding Fundraising 2002.

Cody led the crusade to keep CHEO's (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) Cardiac Unit Open by starting his own petition. Cody went to 12 schools in our area and collected 2500 signatures mainly from kids! In June of 2002, Dalton McGuinty then an MP, was very helpful and collected Cody’s petition and delivered them to the provincial Minister of Health Tony Clement.
The unit remains open!

In October of 2002, at age eight, this young man started Cody's Individual Comfort Kits for kids.
In just two and a half years, one hundred and sixteen kits have been delivered
to young people facing illness and difficult circumstances.

Cody has since expanded the distribution of his kits to include Grandparents.
Since 2003, forty G&G kits have been delivered to those in hospitals and nursing homes.

As well, this young man gives personal Comfort kits to kids and adults that have terminal diseases. So far 13 have been distributed over the past year. He uses his own money to pay for these and does not come under the umbrella of the CICK Fund.

Cody prepared a school project based on the film "Pay it Forward"- and sent 150 dollars worth of toys, books and model cars etc. to an orphanage in El Salvador via Orphan Helpers Organization in USA.
